AI consulting that ends with something working, not a slide deck.
Grendesign is an AI consultancy and build team for Australian businesses. We find the processes where AI and automation will save real hours, check the data and privacy risks, then build and support the solution: AI agents, workflow automation, document processing and CRM integrations. Most engagements start with a two-to-four-week assessment and a working pilot.
For leadership teams who’ve been told to “do something with AI” and want it done properly.
- 16+ years building systems
- Assessment, build and support
- Privacy Act and data risk considered
Everyone has an AI pilot. Few have a result.
The pattern is familiar. A few staff use ChatGPT, someone builds a demo, and six months later nothing has changed in how the business runs. The gap isn’t the technology. It’s choosing the right process, getting the data ready and building something people will use.
Hours lost to copy and paste
Quotes, intake forms, reports and data entry still done by hand by people you hired for better work.
Shadow AI
Staff pasting client data into free tools with no policy, no oversight and no record.
Pilots that never ship
Demos that impress in a meeting and never reach the people doing the work.
How we help
Advice and delivery from the same team, so nothing gets lost between the strategy and the build.
AI opportunity assessment
We map your key processes, measure the hours involved and rank where automation pays back first.
Data and risk review
Where your data lives, what can go to an AI model and what can’t, checked against the Privacy Act.
Workflow automation
Connecting your CRM, email, forms and documents so work moves without re-keying.
AI agents and assistants
Agents that draft, classify, summarise and route, with a human approving anything that matters.
Lead and marketing automation
Scoring, nurture and follow-up. The Sydney B2B firm in our case study went from zero to 205 lead conversions a month.
Training and handover
Documentation, staff training and a usage policy, so the system doesn’t depend on us.
How it runs, week by week
One named lead, fixed checkpoints and nothing goes live without your sign-off.
Assess
Weeks 1–2Interviews, process mapping and a ranked list of opportunities with estimated hours saved.
Pilot
Weeks 3–6One process automated end to end with real data and a small group of staff.
Measure
Weeks 7–8Hours saved, error rates and staff feedback, compared with the baseline.
Scale and support
OngoingRoll out what worked, monitor it and add the next process.

Questions we get asked
What does an AI consultant do?
An AI consultant works out where AI and automation can help your business, checks the data and risks, and plans how to put it in place. We also build and support it, so the advice ends in a working system.
How much does AI consulting cost in Australia?
Australian AI consultants commonly charge day rates or fixed-fee assessments. We start with a fixed-price assessment and pilot, so you can see the result before committing to a larger rollout.
Where should a business start with AI?
With a process that is repetitive, high-volume and well understood, such as intake, quoting, reporting or follow-up. Start there, measure it, then expand.
Is it safe to use AI with client data?
It can be, with the right tools and settings. We check where data is processed and stored, which models are used and what your Privacy Act obligations are before anything goes live.
What’s the difference between an AI agent and a workflow?
A workflow follows fixed steps. An agent makes decisions within limits you set. Most good systems combine both, with people approving the important steps.
Which tools do you work with?
OpenAI, Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini models, n8n, Make and Zapier for automation, and CRMs such as HubSpot, Salesforce and Zoho.
How do we measure whether it worked?
We record a baseline first: hours, turnaround time and error rate. Then we compare after the pilot.
Will AI replace our staff?
In our experience it mostly removes the tasks people don’t want to do. The goal is more time for clients and decisions, not fewer people.
Do you provide AI training for staff?
Yes: practical sessions on the tools you’ll actually use, plus a usage policy for your organisation.
Do you work outside Melbourne and Sydney?
Yes, across Australia. Assessments can run on site in Melbourne or Sydney, or online.
Which process would you automate first?
Tell us where your team loses the most time. We’ll tell you whether AI is the right fix, and what a pilot would look like.
