LA-BEK logo design process

Laura and Rebekah have started a new business together so set out to create the new brand for their business. LA-BEK is an online store selling semi cured gel nails.

With a starting product range of 50+ nail colours it was important that the brand would fit with any style. 

Design Concept: The logo for LA-BEK is meticulously crafted to embody the essence of timelessness, classic sophistication, and unwavering quality.

Color Palette: The use of black and white signifies a timeless elegance that transcends trends. These classic hues not only convey a sense of enduring style but also symbolise the high-quality nature of LA-BEK’s products. The logo works both on the white background or reversed on black.

Fonts: The serif font chosen for “LA-BEK” exudes a sense of tradition and timelessness. The deliberate spacing between the letters not only enhances readability but also introduces a breath of sophistication, creating an exclusive feel for the brand. The tagline, “semi cured nails,” is presented in a thin san-serif font. This deliberate contrast provides balance to the design, ensuring a harmonious blend of classic and contemporary elements.

Dash: The angled dash between “LA” and “BEK” adds a dash of personality to the brand while maintaining a clean and crisp appearance. This subtle detail introduces a dynamic touch, infusing energy into the otherwise classic design.

Icon: The custom-designed icon, featuring the angled dash between the “L” and “B,” serves as a strong brand mark. This versatile symbol can stand alone, representing LA-BEK with confidence. Moreover, it can be used to create a pattern for additional collateral, reinforcing the brand’s visual identity.
